| Bill Graham was brought in to run the production of the Trips Festival. Similar to what he did with Appeals I, II and III ; he produced a handbill with about as much information as could be squeezed on to one sheet of paper. At this stage Bill wasn't that much in touch or in-tune to the psychedelic sixties, rather he saw these events as staged productions with orderly time schedules and reliability and quality of acts. Bill's main objective was to make money from a well ran event and get publicity. This is a good example of Bills view of the world of promotion, rather stark and simple typewritten sheet, reading more like a information schedule sheet, than a psychedelic happening; still an important part of Acid Test History. |
